Special provisions in the site allocation process

What is the special provision in the course registration process?
Since the 2025/2026 winter semester, a new course allocation procedure has been piloted for selected courses in German and mathematics education. Since the 2026 summer semester, the procedure has also been expanded to include the subjects of general studies, school pedagogy, and FüGD. This procedure allows students to receive priority allocation to courses under certain personal circumstances.
The following students are eligible to apply:

  • Disability (physical/mental) and chronic illness (proof of disability accommodation)
  • Caregiving for children up to 14 years of age (living in the student’s household) (proof via birth certificate)
  • Pregnancy (proof via notification to the Examination Office at the ZLB)
  • Care and support of family members requiring care (proof of caregiving)
    The procedure is intended to ensure that students with special needs are better accommodated in their academic planning.
